If you love a good bargain we’ve got a doozie for you.  This weekend there’s a huge Summer Rummage Sale with thousands of items and most are just $1.

Summer has arrived and yard/garage sales are in full swing.  My Sister’s Keeper Women & Children’s Homeless Shelter will be hosting their Annual Summer Rummage sale and you do not want to miss it.  There is a little something for everyone at the sale.

WHAT IS MSK?

My Sister’s Keeper is a brand-new shelter here in Owensboro.   Their mission:  My Sister’s Keeper Emergency Shelter mission is to improve the lives of women and children of all ages experiencing homelessness.  To provide emergency shelter, basic temporary needs, safety, support, education, tools and resources that empower them to improve the quality of their lives, help to equip them with the skills to achieve self-sufficiency, and build safe, secure lives.

Non-profit organizations run on donations and funding from individuals and businesses in the community.  Another way they are able to support what they do is through fundraising.  This rummage sale helps to fund their operation costs of providing for the women and children.

WHAT CAN WE EXPECT AT THE SALE?

There is a little bit of everything from household items to clothing, shoes and toys, and so much more.  All clothing and shoes are $1 each.  Nothing is over $5 and most items are less.  Everything is organized by size or item so you can truly shop like you’re in a store.  Many items are new or like-new.

This is a great way to get clothing for the kid’s for the summer.

DETAILS OF THE SALE

The sale will take place Friday, June 2, from 2-6:30, and Saturday, June 3, from 8-11 a.m. at 731 Jackson Street.  Forms of payment accepted cash, PayPal, and Venmo.
